For when you want to go to a museum
Bruce Conner and the Singles Collection
San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
through May 23
Bruce Conner made a three-screen video collage of explosions, fireworks and naked ladies to the tune of the Ray Charles hit “What’d I Say” and called it art. It’s now on show at the San Francisco MoMA, complemented by additional single-channel video works from the museum’s collection. Hopefully that means even more breasts, bombs and sparkly rockets going bang in the sky, but, unfortunately, there’s no guarantee.
