This past Sunday at the Ace Hotel in New York City, 42 Below Vodka presented the United States finals for the 6th Annual Cocktail World Cup. After a grueling regional preliminary competition, the top 2 finalists from 13 different U.S. markets were selected to compete in the U.S. finals. The final team was selected by a panel of guest judges including: “King of the Cocktail” Dale DeGroff, Executive Chef Sam Talbot, and founder of the Bartender’s Academy of New York, Charles Ohlbaum. The selected top three mixologists, Todd Thrasher, Sean Hoard and Mark Stoddard have been chosen to represent the United States in the world’s most EXTREME cocktail competition, 42Below’s Cocktail World Cup, in New Zealand at the end of this month.
